This December will be one year at my current job. That means one year of taking public transportation and learning a new part of a city I was not familiar with. One year of working in a cubicle instead of spending the last six years in my own office where I got to come and go as I pleased, windows to look out of and turned the lights off so I didn’t get such horrible headaches from those fluorescent lights!

This past year I have been through many transitions with this new career path, and although I am still learning and I adjusting I thought I would share some essential things every working mom should have. It doesn’t matter if you have a desk job or spend all day on your feet, if you drive to work or take the bus, I hope these essentials will help make your days go by a little easier!

Wireless Earbuds

I have these headphones and they are great! They fit well and the sound is amazing. These are a fraction of the cost of apple ear pods and are a great quality They both have microphones in them so if a call comes in you can talk right into them. You don’t have to wear both buds if you don’t want to, you can wear one at a time. It only takes about 2 hours to charge and 4 hours of continuous use!

We all get breaks at work, so I suggest you take this time to read or listen to an audio book! If you have a public library card just plug your ID number into the app and you will have access to your local public library! You will never want to buy another book again when you see how easy it is to borrow a book on this app!

No matter if you sit a lot during the day or are on your feet all day, the Fitbit will encourage to keep you moving and applaud you for all the steps you have done! I love how light it is compared to other smart watches. I stay motivated and gets me out of my chair throughout the day!
