Let’s be honest—by the time Easter rolls around, our kids have had enough sugar to last them through summer. That’s why I’m always looking for creative, non-candy alternatives to fill our Easter eggs. This year, I decided to make my own Easter egg tokens using mini wooden eggs and my laser engraver—and let me tell you, they turned out so cute!
These little tokens are a hit with the kids and such a great way to turn your egg hunt into a fun-filled reward system that lasts long after Easter morning. The best part? They’re reusable year after year! If you don’t have a laser engraver at home, no worries—you can grab some pre-made tokens here: Easter Egg Tokens – Shop Now

How I Made Mine:
I used blank mini wooden eggs and engraved different prize options onto each one using my laser engraver. I loved having full creative control over the rewards, and the natural wood look is so charming tucked into colorful plastic eggs.
You could totally paint or stain them for an extra pop of color—or keep them neutral for a minimalist vibe.
Fun Ideas for Egg Token Prizes:
Here’s a peek at the rewards I included this year:
- $1
- $2
- Pizza night
- Movie night
- Ice cream sundae
- Game night
- Stay up 30 minutes late
- Pick what’s for dinner
- Trip to the playground
- Skip one chore
- Donut date with Mom or Dad
- Extra screen time
These tokens give kids something exciting to look forward to—and keep the Easter fun going long after the hunt is over.

Tips for Use:
- Stick one token in each egg or mix them in with small trinkets and treats.
- Collect them in a jar and let your kids redeem them throughout the month.
- Create a simple “Token Menu” so they can see their reward options at a glance.
