I wanted to do more this year so since I can’t relive my St. Patrick’s Day Kegs nâ Eggs days from college, I decided to share this fun and simple recipe to that is much more family friendly!
This Lucky Leprechaun Bait Snack Mix is so easy to make and itâs delicious! I made a giant bowl of it this past weekend and it disappeared so quickly. The odd part was we still never found any leprechauns! ?
Ingredients:
- 5 cups of toasted rice cereal
- 4 cups pretzel sticks
- 4 cups Cheez-Itz crackers
- 1 cup sliced almonds
- 1 cup green and yellow M&Mâs
- 1 stick of butter
- 3/4 cups of brown sugar
- 1 tbsp McCormack Cake Batter Flavor
- Preheat oven to 300 degrees F and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a microwave safe bowl, melt butter and mix with brown sugar. Once it is combined add cake batter flavoring. Mix until smooth.
- In a large mixing bowl, mix crackers, cereal, almonds and pretzels. Pour butter mixture and stir everything together until evenly coated.
- Spread cereal mixture evenly on the cooking sheet. Bake 20-30 minutes stirring the mixture halfway.
- Remove from oven and cool completely. Add M&Ms and keep in air tight container.
