Looking for a quick and festive snack for your 4th of July celebration? These patriotic fruit kabobs are the easiest crowd-pleaser, and they’re as cute as they are delicious! Made with juicy watermelon stars, ripe strawberries, sweet blueberries, and fluffy marshmallows (totally optional!), they’re the perfect red, white, and blue treat for your backyard BBQ or picnic blanket snack tray.

Ingredients:

  • Watermelon slices (cut about 1 inch thick)
  • Strawberries, hulled
  • Blueberries
  • Marshmallows (or extra blueberries if you want to skip the sugar!)
  • Skewers or reusable sticks

Instructions:

  1. Cut your watermelon into stars using a small star-shaped cookie cutter. Kids love helping with this part!
  2. Wash and prep your strawberries and blueberries.
  3. Thread your ingredients onto skewers in a fun red, white, and blue pattern. I did mine like this.
    • Blueberries
    • Marshmallow (or more blueberries)
    • Strawberry
    • Watermelon star
  4. Repeat until your skewer is full, or arrange in a festive pattern on a platter.

These are super customizable, if you want to keep it naturally sweet, just skip the marshmallows and double up on the berries. I made both versions and they were a hit either way!

Mom Tip:

Keep the kids cool and hydrated by popping the finished kabobs in the fridge until party time. You can even serve them over a tray of ice if you’re outdoors for a while!

This is what I used to cut up the fruit.
