Big Mac sauce is great for burgers, sandwiches salads and dips! The ingredients are basic and the taste is delicious!
If you are going to buy a Big Mac, the reason is because of the Mac Sauce. My guilty pleasure is ordering chicken nuggets off the Dollar Menu and side of mac sauce so I can dip!
I am about to tell you how easy it is to make this delicious secret sauce and you are going to be blown away on how easy it is! I usually make a batch and keep it in my fridge for the week. We basically use it on everything! The other night we used it on our veggie burgers and it added so much extra flavor.
I know it is the beginning of the new year and you are thinking why am I posting this recipe the fits week in January? Lets compare how much healthier this version of my Mac Sauce is compared to McDonald’s. According to McDonald’s website, the ingredients are:
Soybean Oil, Sweet Relish (Diced Pickles, Sugar, High Fructose Corn Syrup, Distilled Vinegar, Salt, Corn Syrup, Xanthan Gum, Calcium Chloride, Spice Extractives), Water, Egg Yolks, Distilled Vinegar, Spices, Onion Powder, Salt, Propylene Glycol Alginate, Garlic Powder, Vegetable Protein (Hydrolyzed Corn, Soy and Wheat), Sugar, Caramel Color, Turmeric, Extractives of Paprika, Soy Lecithin.
Wow.
Now, in this copycat version, there are only 7 simple ingredients. You probably have if not all, most of them in your home already!
Simply mix together mayonnaise, french dressing, relish, onion, apple cider vinegar, sugar and salt and let it sit in the refrigerator for 1-2 hours.
This delicious sauce will last up to two weeks but I can guarantee it won’t last that long!
