I never thought I would be 33 years old and still have pimples. I have struggled with acne since I was 12 years old and I have scars to prove it. Now that I am older, my acne isn’t as severe, but it is still bad when I have breakouts. I just don’t get one pimple and they are so painful! How is a mama supposed to live while I am still breaking out in pimples!?
Over the years I have I have tried numerous ways to help keep my acne under control such as natural ways, prescriptions, birth control, you name it. Now that I am older, I am taking a more serious approach in my skincare journey and fighting this acne war once and for all.
I have done research and looked into high quality skin care products developed by dermatologists. Here are some key things I have learned and to to look for in preventing acne:
-Use products that include Anti-Blemish Complex: Tea Oil, Willow Bark Extract, Aloe Vera which unclog pores and reduces redness.
-Use products that include Salicylic Acid which contains Beta hydroxyl acid that helps skin cells shed more easily.
I have used Derma E products in the past, and I feel confident using it for my acne. I have already seen a difference after using it for a couple of weeks and I am happy with the results so far. Check out my before and after!

I say this often, I wish there were more hours in a day.
When my head hits the pillow at night, I am unable to look back and see what I did all day because it all happens so fast. Since becoming a mother there have been a few things I needed to give up including expensive beauty routines. Not only does it become too pricey, I just simply do not have the time or energy to go somewhere and get pampered like I used to. I am a huge advocate for self-care and making sure I put myself first so I can be the best mother for Franco, so I needed to compromise on how to still keep my routine going.
I want to share with you a self-care beauty tip you can do at home and feel like a pro doing it. If you want to reduce scars wrinkles and even cellulite, derma rolling, also known as micro needling is for you!
Derma rolling exfoliates and reduces build up in the skin and helps products such as creams and serums absorb into the skin easily. Although it looks intimidating because a bunch of little needles are rolling into your face, don’t be because the needles are so tiny you will not feel a thing.
Roll the tool in sections. Roll slowly and gently on your forehead, nose, cheeks and neck. Do each part of your face multiple times before moving on to the next area, lifting the roller when moving to each section of your face.
When you are finished, wash your hands and apply the hyaluronic serum to your face again. If you want to apply some aloe as well to control redness and swelling you can do that also.
Sterilize your roller and once it is dry you can put it away.
A few tips for this procedure to be effective is drink lots of water, stay out of the sun for a few days after applying and do not wear makeup for about 12 hours after use. It is also not recommended if you currently have any acne or open wounds on your skin.
You can start off slowly by rolling once a week and increase the more comfortable you get. This is not an instant fix and will certainly take time to see results!
Derma rollers come in different sizes so be sure to check which one if for you. I used .25mm which boosts my absorption into my skin for creams and serums. Other sizes will help with wrinkles and scars. Also know that this tool is not just for your face, you can use on your legs or anywhere else where you have problem areas.

I am always looking for makeup remover towelettes and TJ did not disappoint me on this one. I loved the floral scent and removedallmy makeup with one wipe.
This Rose Water Facial Toner is a staple for me. I carry it in my bag and use it whenever I need some refreshing. It’s great for when you first wake up in the morning and right when you get out of the shower as well.
This body butter smells AMAZING. If you are not into bodyoils,then this is for you. It is so creamy and smooth and leaves you smelling amazing.
I have been using this facial scrub for over a year now, and I swear every time I open it and smell it I try to eat it- just kidding. Seriously though this stuff smells amazing and my face feels great after using it. This is one of my favorite TJ beauty products.
I love salt scrubs and this tub is huge!The lavender scent helps unwind you after a long day and makes your body nice and smooth!
Shave cream in a lotion bottle? Okay! Love the smell of this and it includes all the good stuff like aloeveraand vitamin E. Not to mention it is paraben free and 100% vegetarian.
Okay so this is one of my secret weapons. It’s not an actual beauty product but a beauty hack that I need to share. Coconut oil in an aerosol spray can be hard to find especially for the right price. This is yourgoto for covering your entire body with coconut oil in just a few seconds. I know, you make think I am crazy, but try it! You will thank me later.
Need an all-purpose cleaner that doesn’t smell like chemicals? This large bottle right here gets the job done while smelling great!
I simply buy these tissues because of the design. The sayings on them are hysterical and all true! Depending on my mood each day I turn it around to which saying I want.
If you are not into dryer sheets and can’t get your clothes to smell good with dryer balls, then these are a must try! Each bag is good for 5-10 cycles and when you are done with them, freshen your carpet with them by sprinkling them on the floor and vacuuming up. I love these and they are such a great alternative to dryer sheets.
There is so much more that I could share, but I had to narrow it down by what I have tried, and thought was a great deal. I have used all these products and consider these my top favorite choices. I never know what to get my husband for Valentine’s Day. We don’t always do gifts, but this year I found the perfect gift for him. When I saw JORD watches I knew hubby had to have one. Gifts are not a big deal between my husband and I, but when thought and effort is put into something, it is so appreciated. I strive to make my husband happy and have a healthy loving relationship. Ever since we had our son almost two years ago, we lost touch of our close marriage. I never want to lose that and simple gifts are reminders of that. Seeing my husband’s eyes light up and the surprise look on his face fully did it for me. He is such a an amazing father, husband and best friend and he needs to know that. He does so much for me and supports me, I must do the same in return.
